D and Dm Chords

Hi there , i'm still a beginner with guitar .

So I want to ask how to play D and Dm chords with Spanish Rhythm ?

I mean Play the D String first ( As note pass ) and then play all strings including E ( Thick one ) and A strings ?

Or Play only the strings below the D string after the note pass ?

I appreciate you help.

So you mean :

1- Bass Note

2- Then the stings under it

3- Then complete the rhythm by playing all strings till the end of the bar

Right?
